UCAMA Needs Your Support NOW!
UCAMA has begun the development of its new facility on Jasper Avenue with the signing of a contract with HIP Architects and David Murray Architect in January 2006.
The new museum will cost $21 million. An additional $5 million has been targeted for an endowment fund to defray operational costs of the new facility.
The Province of Alberta was the first to contribute funds with a $3 million grant. The City of Edmonton has followed suit with City Council’s unanimous approval of its own $3 million contribution. The Koziak Family Foundation has donated $200,000 and Servus Credit Union has donated $100,000. The celebrated artist Peter Shostak has given us $100,000 worth of his prints for sale in support of the building fund.
No matter how large or small, each donation is significant to the successful implementation of this exciting project.
Our collective heritage must be preserved to be passed on to the next generation... so they too will tell the stories of our forefathers. Be an important link in the chain.
